When we look beyond the surface of client behavior, we can craft stronger defenses, communicate more effectively, and advocate for lasting client well-being.

Dr. Bixler serves as Vice President for Clinical Services and Compliance for Northpoint youth and adult programs.  Dr. Bixler oversees the treatment of patients in a co-occurring care model, which focuses on the treatment of addiction and mental health issues simultaneously.  Northpoint programs are structured using evidence-based practice for integrated and collaborative care, bringing a whole-person approach to the care of individuals struggling with addiction and mental health.  Dr. Bixler has practiced in various areas serving children, adolescents, adults, and families, and brings a practical understanding to the everyday issues experienced by patients and their families facing addiction challenges.  

During this session, you’ll learn to:

• Apply practical communication strategies that improve client reliability and enhance case management
• Recognize the role of Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) as part of an effective and ethical defense strategy
